The Hongera Foundation Kenya is thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Hongera Charity Fun Run on November 30, 2024, at the serene and iconic Karura Forest. This exciting event brings together our community, sponsors, and supporters to make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners. Join us as we raise funds to build a safe and conducive learning environment for ECD students at Bar Ka Waga Primary School in Bondo, Siaya County.

Why Participate?

At Hongera Foundation, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. Unfortunately, the current ECD facility at Bar Ka Waga Primary School is old and unsafe, with classrooms separated by only manila paper walls. This setup disrupts learning and poses safety risks to young students. Through this Charity Fun Run, we aim to raise over Ksh. 2,000,000 to construct a dedicated ECD block with two classrooms, providing a safe and supportive learning space.

Event Details

  • Date & Time: November 30, 2024, at 8:00 AM

  • Location: Karura Forest, Nairobi, Kenya

  • Distance Options: 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km routes to cater to all fitness levels

  • Registration Fee: Ksh. 2,000 per participant (includes an event t-shirt, race bib, and refreshments)

The Fun Run will feature scenic trails through Karura Forest, perfect for an enjoyable yet impactful morning in nature. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or joining for the first time, your participation helps us reach our goal!
